Camtasia Studio 4 The Definitive Guide Review

Daniel Park has created a wonderful book on Camtasia. This is my first read with him and I was thoroughly impressed!

This book is surprisingly unlike a traditional "textbook" but rather an excellent resource guide that is very easy to read. I personally rate books by their ease of readability and this one fits the bill.

Camtasia is not a difficult program so he has something easy to work with, if you have not tried it, I highly recommend taking advantage of the trial version of Camtasia and it's companion software Snagit.

Chapter 1 – 4 discuss the ways to make a video and important points to remember when creating a Camtasia screenshot such as storyboarding and good advice to get you started.

If you are familiar with Camtasia than there is no need to read it in full but it makes a great reference. If you are new to Camtasia than Chapter 5 -12 will get you well underway to making great videos.

The companion CD contains chapter exercises and demonstrations which are a useful addition as well as some interesting trial software such as Color Cop, Sizer, Icon Workshop, GetMouse and BluffTitler.

All in all I appreciated his writing style, it is easy and straightforward which is so important for textbook format. Good job Mr.Park!
