It's Official – Web Video Does Increase Sales

John Reese is probably the most respected expert on the internet. He is a forward thinker. So, when he says web video is here to stay and will become an essential part of  the sales process, it's time to take notice.

Recently, John concluded some interesting experiments, which prove conclusively putting a simple online video on the sales page greatly enhances its effectiveness.He took one of his web sites, which was already a strong seller with its traditional long text sales page and changed it. He created a short video commercial, summarizing the benefits of the product and coupled this with a much shorter sales letter.

To his amazement, the response of this already strong performing product increased by 300%.In order to check this was no fluke, John repeated the experiment with an different web site, selling a different product. This time the results weren't so spectacular, but still very acceptable , showing a 75% improvement.

It does seem, therefore, that results vary depending on the particular product and how well it can be demonstrated using video either with Camtasia screenshots  or  full motion video. But, as most webmasters would kill for a 75% increase in sales from one simple change it's pretty obvious John Reese has once again signaled the way to better sales conversions and bigger profits.
